ELECTRICITY
For safety and protection guidelines of Tikal, power lines are forbidden in the park. The usage of power generators is allowed in the following schedules:
6:00 – 8:00 hrs.
12:00 hrs. – 14:00 hrs.
17:00 hrs. – 22:00 hrs.
For our guests’ comfort, we have a power storage system that powers each room. Its worth noting that during the night the rooms exclusively offer the following options:
A power outlet.
A ceiling fan
Ceiling light.
NOTE: Due to demands on high season, the power inverters provide power a little before 6:00. Generally we are able to cuber the 95% of nights a year with electrical power. We appreciate your comprehension

Our room’s and suites’ designs have been made to protect our guests from insects. In the case of an unwanted visitor you can report it to the front desk and we’ll gladly return it to its natural habitat.
For your comfort, all our beds have mosquito nets.
We recommend bringing mosquito repellent.
FOOD
Due to Jungle Lodge quality policies, all the raw materials and ingredients implemented in the making of our foods and drinks is of first class, transported from places like Guatemala City and urban areas of Petén. We use purified water in all our cooking processes and use separate generators to produce international level gastronomy in the heart of the jungle.
WEATHER
Tikal National park and Jungle Lodge Hotel are located in a humid tropical rainforest with an inconstant weather, strong humidity and heat during most of the year, with very pronounced seasons like:
December to February: They are the coolest months of the year, including cold days. It’s important noting humidity generates a greater sensation of cold for which we recommend bringing adequate clothing in case you visit us during this season.
March to June: These are regularly the hottest months of the year. It’s recommended bringing cool clothing, hydrating properly and preferably visiting the park in the early morning or after 15:00, between these two schedules temperatures can be really high.
July to November: These months can be hot and rainy. We recommend bringing waterproof clothing and shoes with good traction, for the limestone terrain can be more slippery. It’s important noting that thunder storms out in the open can be very dangerous, we recommend following your guide’s instructions in case of a storm.

Every shuttle is linked to the most of the flights coming from Guatemala City. The cost is US$15.00 per person for a one-way trip and $25.00 per person round trip. Schedules are subject to changes.
