TIKAL ENTRANCE TICKET INFORMATION

Hotel Jungle Lodge is located inside the Tikal National Park, 10 minutes walk from the central square.

DAY TICKET

Each day the tourist wishes to visit the archaeological site, they need to purchase a DAY TICKET. It is valid from 6:00 until 18:00 hours.

The cost per person is:

  • Foreigner Q.150
  • Locals Q.25
  • Children under 10 years of age don’t pay (local or foreigners)

 

NOTES:

  • If the guest wishes to stay in the hotel and not visit the archaeological site, they don’t need to purchase a ticket for that day.
  • Tikal National Park authorities require visitors to bring or purchase at the entrance gate (17KM from the visitor’s center) at least one entry ticket to be able to enter the hotel area and later the archaeological site.

SUNRISE TICKET

It must be purchased if the visitor wishes to witness the sunrise on Temple IV. Besides, authorities do not allow visitors to enter on their own before 6:00 AM, that is why a certified guide must be hired.

The cost of the sunrise ticket:

  • Foreigner Q.150
  • Local Q.25
  •  Children under 10 years of age don’t pay (locals and foreigners)
  •  RECAP: To go on the sunrise tour, the visitor needs:

Entry ticket
– Sunrise ticket
– Hire a certified guide

SUNSET TICKET

It must be purchased if the visitor wishes to witness the sunrise on Temple IV. Besides, authorities do not allow visitors to enter on their own after 06:00 PM, that is why a certified guide must be hired.

Tickets are on sale at BANTRAB AND BANRURAL agencies throughout the country and to be able to buy them:

  • It is necessary for the visitor to present their passport or DPI as the case may be.
  • The payment of tickets to the Park is only in cash and in quetzales.

  • Entrance to Tikal National Park: Hours 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
